Blake Lively Halloween is feeling the mom’s struggle, and she’s giving a shout out to all the moms out there. The Gossip Girl alum took to her Instagram Stories to show off her paint-covered hands after a late-night Halloween prep session. She admitted that the experience gave her a little extra appreciation for mothers. The actress has four children with her husband, James, Inez, Betty and Olin. Ryan Reynolds.

“Thank you to all the moms,” Blake wrote on the video, sharing the dirty-but-sweet update the night before Halloween. She then joked that her “puffy painted hand is losing its enthusiasm at 1 a.m.,” before concluding by saying she was “doing some extra appreciating my mom tonight.”
The video begins with a close-up of Blake raising his palm towards the camera. There are stripes of blue, white and shiny paint on his hands. She wears a plaid cuff on her wrist with pink jacket sleeves. It’s safe to say that puffy paint won this round. The story was set to a slow version of Semisonic’s “Closing Time”, a fitting soundtrack for a 1 a.m. craft session.
Additionally, the clip goes back to the project itself. It features a red quilt with “Tony’s Chocolatey” written on it in bright blue and white, with some of the brand’s chocolate bars placed on a dark countertop above and next to it. Blake ended the video by holding up her palm once again, giving fans another look at the loss.
This isn’t the first time the Gossip Girl alum has given fans a glimpse of her family’s Halloween celebration. Earlier this month, she shared a creepy surprise left in the fridge by her kids, made of apple pieces, marshmallow eyes and glasses, and said she was obsessed with her kids. Blake has also been sharing related stories lately. Now that Halloween is officially here, let’s hope Blake gets a good rest and plenty of chocolate.
