Last week, demanding charter guests with mile-long preference sheets exhausted everyone, Alex’s rookie mistakes put her on the radar, and Jessenia lost a jet ski leash at sea. Elsewhere, Matt and Kaylee decided to keep things exclusive, at least until this week on Below Deck Season 13 Episode 4.
What happened in Below Deck Season 13 Episode 4?
All eyes are on the deck team and the galley. Alex’s mistakes pile up, and Mo almost triggers a guest’s allergies. Romance-wise, Renee starts to take notice of Matt, and yes, Kaylee hates it. But not as much as Mo hates creepy strangers…
Alex forgot the guests’ towels
Jessenia and Matt dive down as low as possible, but they never find the dropped jet ski strap. Captain Carey lets Alex have it, and he also tells the camera that he may have to cut his bosun. The guests hear absolutely everything. Looks like he likes drama (same).
Kaylee tells Rosa that there is a girl at James’ house. Obviously, Roza has now moved beyond that. famous last Words? Either way, it’s time to visit an ethical elephant sanctuary.
Captain Carey asked Alex to double-check his gear. Alex says he has packed everything, but the camera shows otherwise. He left behind a large bag of towels.
Fraser realized this when they were already on their way to the sanctuary. “Complete rubbish on deck,” says Captain Carey. He texts Alex and Alex sends Matt to meet them with a towel. The guests have to wait for 15 minutes in the hot Thailand sun before Matt arrives, making Captain Kerry even more angry at Alex.
Once again, the guests hear everything. They ask Captain Carey if anyone is in trouble. “Yes, of course,” he tells them. They laugh, unlike Matt, who “chewed for Alex’s nonsense.”
The excursion is at least going well, but Captain Carey is under a lot of stress. Their guests want them to try acroyoga. Captain Carey agrees, and as they return to the yacht, Jason flings them around in the sunroom. “This is weird. Let’s just leave it at that,” thinks Captain Carey.
Moe almost triggers a guest’s allergies
Melanie’s birthday dinner is tonight, so it’s “very important” to them. He and Caroline talk over menus with Mo and Fraser. Melanie doesn’t like or want cake because “it’s not the French Revolution.” Instead, she wants a cheese plate, she says, while Fraser and Mo do their best not to look dead inside.
Alex apologizes to Captain Kerry. He fully accepts his mistakes. He also found an old leash that would be useful for his jet ski. Around the corner, a guest asks for champagne, and Fraser yells, “You’ve got to give me two minutes first.”
Rosa asks James if he is seeing anyone. He says no. Rosa likes what she hears. Her crush is back.
Matt also apologized to Captain Kerry. He reminds him that he is a bosun. So, if Captain Carey needs to step up, Matt will step up. “I’ll think about it,” says Captain Carey.
Outside, the guests are denouncing Mo. They think he is “weak”. But Fraser has Mo’s support. He tells Captain Carey, “It’s just these people.”
Then Captain Carey will join them for dinner, because these guys rarely complain when he’s around. Everyone sits at Renbeau’s expertly decorated table. “It’s the same bread, again and again,” someone immediately exclaims. Captain Carey arrives, and all complaints stop.
But then the cheese course comes into view. Fraser asks if they can add jam. Moe grabs a jar of strawberry preserves. However, Melanie is allergic.
Thankfully, Melanie keeps an eye on it and never touches it. In his interview, Captain Carey explains that his allergies are not life or death. So, Mo’s job is safe.
The guests in their cabin complain again. “Dinner was bad,” Furthermore, Mo forgot his noodle dish, and he came to the table wearing a dirty shirt.
Renbeau inspires Kaylee to step up when Mo faces a dockside confrontation
Rainbeau has a boyfriend. This is the first guy she hasn’t cheated with. Famous last words, take two?
Robbie reminds Fraser that Mo forgot his noodles last night. Fraser passes his message to Mo, who sighs. It’s on him.
While they are eating breakfast Moe puts on his nice uniform and apologizes. The guests thanked him. But when he leaves, Melanie makes another wise comment.
On deck, the crew pulls up the anchor, but Matt gives a different direction than Alex. Jessenia waits for Alex and ignores Matt. “There is no point in looking back in sailing,” Matt says boldly in his confessional.
Right after an awkward little fight with Rainboo, Rosa joins the deck team to help with the docking. Docking goes smoothly, and guests disembark. Robbie complained about the food and left a $33,000 tip.
Renabeau asks Matt to sit next to her at dinner later. Then, she tells Kaylee that she asked Matt about it. Kaylee wonders, “Why?” She has a lot of trust issues, so this revelation makes her cry.
Mo FaceTimes his 19-year-old daughter. Because of that, he is “very protective of women”. Proving his point, some drunken men start roughhousing with the women as they walk down the docks. They follow the group, so Moe retreats and challenges the most vocal person.
The man asks Mo what he will do about it. As the words TO BE CONTINUED appear, Moe takes off his belt.
