The email informed them that the pair would not be returning to the show for season 21. He revealed this in an exclusive interview People. “I actually got an email that they weren’t coming back, and I said, ‘Oh, wow. OK,'” she said.
Janelle also revealed that she has not been in touch with the couple for a long time. They have not met since his family came together after the sale of their estate, covered in Season 20.
“I haven’t talked to him since, well, because we were all together after he sold the property (in Season 20), and I don’t know anything about what’s going on in his life. And so yeah, I’m like, ‘Okay, I guess that’s what we’re doing now.'”
However, Jenelle remained undeterred, admitting that her departure could mark a significant change for the show. “It felt like the end of an era, but at the same time, I feel like moving forward now, there are so many beautiful things happening for all of us,” she said. “And I think it’s good that we can focus on that and not focus on all these conversations that were happening because of things that Cody said.”
Janelle said her six children were shocked by the news. “They were really surprised. But then again, most of my kids don’t really have a relationship with their father, so it was really kind of news.” Although she hasn’t contacted her ex-husband or Robyn, Jenelle said she hopes they’re doing well.
A few months ago, Brown revealed in an Instagram post introducing her boyfriend Pete that she had found love again.
