Keanu Reeves, 60, and his 51-year-old girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, have won people’s hearts with their quiet, sincere courtship.
Alexandra is a gifted artist who has gained recognition for her interdisciplinary work. Due to their genuine bond and grounded relationship, she has also gained recognition as Keanu’s partner.
In an interview with People, Keanu talked about a sweet moment he had with Alexandra, saying they were “connected,” “smiling and laughing and giggling” in bed. A few days ago, my honey and I were together. We were in bed. We had a connection. We were laughing, chuckling, and smiling. I’m feeling fantastic. He remarked, “It was just really nice to be together.”
Alexandra is an accomplished artist with a background in painting, drawing, sculpture, and video. Her art often explores the connections between language, communication, and human relationships.
She has exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Galerie Gradiva in Paris, and the Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York.
Additionally, she is a philanthropist who founded the grantLOVE project in 2008. This project raises funds for non-profit organizations through the sale of her artwork.
Alexandra told People that her relationship with the John Wick star helped her to become a better artist. “I had a studio visit a few years ago, and this very kind, high-level person said, ‘I can see that your work has gotten happier,'” she told the newspaper. “It’s true. All of us are human. We are creatures. From where we are, we are expressing ourselves. The art seems happier, in my opinion.
Since working together on the 2011 book Ode to Happiness and the 2016 television series Shadows, the two have developed a strong creative and personal relationship that goes back many years.
Their friend and actress Jennifer Tilly revealed that Keanu and Alexandra had been dating for several years before their relationship surfaced publicly.
According to Jennifer, Keanu and Alexandra’s low-key approach to their relationship has garnered admiration. Jennifer said: “I think everybody wishes they had something like that. It’s not a razzle-dazzle Hollywood romance.”
“I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating, but the question I’ve been asking in all of this is: ‘What is the opportunity for good?'” Alexandra revealed to Vogue her conflicted feelings about her decision to make her relationship public.
“I do not believe that isolation is the way,” she said, adding that “love at every level is deeply important” to her identity and expressing her conviction in the importance of relationships. As a painter, I go through times of loneliness, yet I cherish the pleasure of being in partnerships.
With only a few public appearances together, Keanu and Alexandra’s romance has remained largely private. Their relationship became well-known when they strolled hand in hand Art + Film Gala in November 2019.
