Schwartz & Sandy Bids
Khan Saab shares the emotional news that Schwartz & Sandy’s, the popular bar and restaurant owned by Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval, will close its doors at the end of December. The announcement came on Instagram, where Sandoval expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff and patrons who made the establishment a beloved spot in Los Angeles.
“With a heavy heart, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Schwartz & Sandy’s at the end of December,” Sandoval wrote. Reflecting on the journey, he called the venture an “incredible stepping stone” and invited fans and locals to visit one last time. He also acknowledged the bar’s charm beyond its reality TV fame, emphasizing its role as a cherished location for L.A. residents.
Tom Schwartz added his message, keeping the mood upbeat despite the circumstances. Typing from Florida, he promised that the final days of Schwartz & Sandy’s would be filled with fun and celebration.
The decision to close comes after a challenging period. Following Sandoval’s involvement in the highly publicized “Scandoval” cheating scandal, the restaurant faced significant backlash, including scathing Yelp reviews from fans of Ariana Madix. Schwartz revealed that the controversy, combined with tighter financial margins post-COVID, made it difficult for the business to recover.
As the end of December approaches, Schwartz & Sandy’s will host farewell events, offering fans a chance to celebrate the memories created in the space. While this marks the end of an era, both Sandoval and Schwartz hinted at exciting new ventures on the horizon.
Khan Saab reflects that the closure serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by small businesses, even those backed by big names. Schwartz & Sandy’s will be remembered not only for its connection to Vanderpump Rules but also for its welcoming atmosphere and dedicated team.
