Meg Moore, 25, and Dejon Noel-Williams, 26, have now issued emotional statements to fans on their break-up, just days ahead of Christmas.

Last week, we exclusively told how they had cut ties after a blazing row while on holiday.

Now Dejon has taken to his Instagram Stories to reveal his “great sadness” that the pair, who lasted the full Love Island season, have not worked out.

In a text post written in black font on a white background he revealed: “It is with great sadness that I have parted ways with Meg after almost seven months together.

Love Island legend soft launches mystery boyfriend as she celebrates birthday

“Navigating a relationship after the intensity of the villa has incredible memories, but also came with difficulties, especially being in the public eye, trying to incorporate work as a personal trainer and setting up a new business along the way.”

He added: “I wish things could have been different and this next period of adjustment will be hard for us both, but I wish Meg nothing but the best for the future.”

He finished off his message with a red Emoji love heart.

Meanwhile Megan, who insisted the pair were “stronger than ever” back in November, took to her own social media page for a statement.

She wrote: “To all of you.

“It saddens me that I’ve had to write this unexpectedly but I always want to be honest with everyone that’s supported me and followed me along my journey in finding love!

“I am truly gutted to announce that mine and Dejon’s relationship has come to an end.”

She added: “I’m so grateful for all the good times we shared and I want to thank you all for the support and love you gave to me and us through our relationship.

“You’ve all been an amazing part of this journey.

“All I ask of now is please respect my privacy and have a little patience and understanding as I try to navigate this turn.

HOLIDAY HORROR

Earlier this month, we reported on the pair’s holiday bust-up in Egypt which saw them unfollow each other on their socials.

A friend of the pair told The Sun at the time: “Meg and Dejon have been rowing non -stop recently, but were hoping this holiday would smooth things over.

“Clearly that hasn’t worked as they have had another massive row and called it a day, even cutting all ties on socials.”

The pal adds: “Holidays together can be intense for any couple so we’re hoping they manage to work things out. Sometimes with these two, they’re off one minute, back on the next but things aren’t great between them at all right now.

“You wouldn’t even know from their social media that they are in Egypt together, because all of the content they have been posting hasn’t had each other in it.”

Fans last saw the couple when they appeared together at the MBCC Awards on Saturday 29 November.

But just days later, the reality TV couple unfollowed each other on social media – only to refollow each other a couple of hours later.

UNDER FIRE

Dejon and Meg have been hit with split rumours and cheating allegations since leaving the villa in August.

Dejon came under fire after he was allegedly spotted sending flirtatious messages to fellow Islander Alima Gagigo – who is not thought to be entertaining his approaches.

Cast mate Emma Munroe had hinted at the drama on TikTok, where she wrote: “How I feel sitting on information that could ruin an entire relationship.”

Fans assumed she was talking about her ex Harry Cooksley and his new girl, Shakira Khan, but her targets actually were for Dejon and Meg.
