New York Fashion Week just ended. London Fashion Week is going on. The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival is in full swing, and last night we were treated to the 2024 MTV VMA Awards.
Commonly abbreviated as VMAs, this year’s performance was held on September 11, 2024 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York and celebrated the 40th anniversary of the event. Featuring a stellar showcase of the best musical talent from around the world, the night featured performances from Sabrina Carpenter (who performed at the awards show for the second year in a row, and embraced all things space and extraterrestrial), Shawn Mendes (performing), Nobody knows) and Chappell Rhone who came on stage in medieval battle gear.
Earlier in the night, it was the red carpet arrivals at the 2024 MTV VMA Awards that really caught our attention the most. Sabrina Carpenter dazzled upon her arrival, choosing a vintage beaded Bob Mackie creation originally worn by Madonna to the 1991 Oscars. Taylor Swift (becoming the most decorated solo artist ever at the ceremony) chose a plaid Christian Dior Gave the number and gave the coveted Cher Horowitz no news Look for a punk rock twist. Elsewhere on the red carpet, Addison Rae turned heads in a custom white set from Miss Claire Sullivan.
