Over the past few years, Lisa has found it difficult to cope with the loss of her family members. It started in 2018 when she tragically lost her brother due to an overdose.

Nevertheless, Lisa went back to filming work. But the grief had taken its toll on her, and she decided that season 9 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would be her last season, and took a break from VPR.

So, when Marcus started acting increasingly rude at work, Lisa stepped in to find out what was going on. Marcus revealed that he had been drinking heavily due to the loss of both his parents in the past few years. Lisa knew from experience that grief counseling would help.

During Season 12, Episode 4, Marcus talked to Lisa about his experience going to grief counseling. And then Lisa also shared her point.

She told Marcus, “It was just talking to someone who had no role in the game but who completely understood. For me, a light bulb went on, and I saw things in a different way. I don’t know if it’ll be the same for you.”

For his part, Marcus was feeling fine. We saw a brief scene with him in a grief counseling session. He told Lisa, “You know, my life has been going a little better lately and I’m grateful for that.”
