It’s like a tradition on CNN’s New Year’s Eve live special for Bravo andy cohen To ruin the outgoing mayor. Every four years, a new mayor is sworn in at midnight, just as Andy and Anderson Cooper are being sworn in.
After taking the shot for more than four hours, Andy admitted that he sometimes “blacked-out” at this point. So just as he attacked outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio four years ago as new Mayor Zohran Mamdani was being sworn in, Andy launched into a drunken tirade against outgoing Mayor Eric Adams.
His honor was not happy. In fact, he hit back at the host of Watch What Happens Live and accused him of having a drinking problem.
Eric Adams Claims Andy Cohen Needs AA
Subsequently, on New Year’s Day the former mayor turns on Ax by suggesting that Andy should go to AA (Alcoholics Anonymous). Instead of accepting Andy’s drunken blabbering as another example of free speech in entertainment, Adams took the low road.
Calling Andy’s two-minute comment “crazy drunken blabbering”, Adams added, “If someone really cared about him. They would tell him to get help.” Framing his comments as a message of “concern”, the mayor added a solemn, “Public intoxication is a disease. (Andy) should get help.”
When Andy drunkenly mocked Ryan Seacrest four years ago, he admitted he was “overserved” a bit. But he added, “I won’t be ashamed to have fun on New Year’s Eve. That’s why I’m there.”
During his informative monologue about the outgoing mayor, Andy called Adams’ time in office “messy” and urged him to retire from politics. Objecting to this, Mr. Adams retorted that Andy was only “safe in Times Square” because “we did our job.”
