IShowSpeed has once again made history by winning the 100m race against Olympic gold medalist Letsile Tebogo, but fans don’t agree. During his tour across Africa, the popular YouTuber and online streamer stopped by to showcase his athletic abilities by racing against Tebogo.
IShowSpeed’s victory over Olympic sprinter in 100 meters race canceled
One x video IShowSpeed’s racing against Letsile Tebogo, which had many fans gathered around the track, has gone viral online. The race ended with Speed emerging as the winner after ten seconds in the video. He boasted about his victory, saying, “I won that, though!” When the Botswana runner slipped into frame, the internet personality asked if he wanted a rematch, but the latter replied, “I’ll let you win.”
Tebogo won Botswana’s first gold medal in the 200 meters at the 2024 Olympics. He also holds the world U20 record for 100 meters race since 2022. Having completed that race in less than a second, he has become the first person from his country to cross the 10-second barrier.
While many fans are praising Speed for defeating Tebogo, others have argued that the professional runner intentionally allowed this to happen. At the beginning of the video, the athlete slipped, leading many to believe that a rematch should have been held to keep the competition fair.

Tebogo only let him win out of respect.” Another user, @mightyjammyechoed the sentiment, writing, “He slipped up though. I think he did it to give you the win.”
user @Kay_beeeh Letsile praised Tebogo’s sporting spirit, saying, “That’s how you accommodate a visitor, not outwit them.” A few days earlier, Speed had demonstrated his physical strength by racing a cheetah and losing by only a few metres.
