On social media, Anthony expressed his gratitude for the love and support shown by others during this difficult time. He also told how special these two people were to him. Anthony was a passenger when the Lexus crashed in December and suffered only non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

The driver of the Lexus, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has reportedly been charged with dangerous driving, careless and negligent driving, driving without due care and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Anthony attended the memorial service for two of his deceased friends earlier this week. The boxer was treated for his injuries at the Duchess International Hospital following the accident. There is speculation that he may retire from boxing after this incident. Shortly before the accident, Anthony had defeated Jake Paul in a match which he said was not his best match.
In 2012, Anthony won the gold medal in the super-heavyweight boxing division. His victorious fight against Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 was named The Ring magazine’s Fight of the Year.
