Possibly the biggest sensation in Hollywood at the time, Sidney Sweeney had a strange group of friends during his childhood, one of whom was a ghost. The Anybody But You star recently recalled an interesting anecdote from his formative years, in which he discussed possibly encountering a supernatural entity.
Sydney Sweeney talks about befriending a ghost
while talking to w magazineSweeney confessed to having “an imaginary friend” during her childhood, which ultimately proved a difficult challenge for her mother.
“I think I saw a ghost. When I was little, I used to have an imaginary friend. He used to be on the playground at preschool,” she continued, “I would tell my mom about him. It turned out he was a person who died before I was born! It shocked my mom.”
Despite imagining a perfect person or ghost in her younger days, Sidney Sweeney finds it difficult to remember dreams these days. She revealed, “I don’t even know if I’m dreaming anymore. I used to be a really vivid dreamer. I was able to control my dreams; I could lie there and have all the dreams I wanted to have that night. In the last year or two, I haven’t really been able to dream.”
Even though “there are a lot of things that scare him”, Swinney firmly believes that he is a fearless person. Explaining her simple philosophy for dealing with fear, the actress said, “Generally, if something scares me, I’m going to do it.” She also gave a real-life example with this idea, saying, “I’m afraid of heights, but I jumped out of a plane and went skydiving. I’d scream the whole way, but then I’d do it again.”
After battling ghosts in her childhood days, Sydney Sweeney faces a more psychological threat in her latest thriller The Housemaid, in which she plays a live-in housekeeper who accepts a job offer from a wealthy but secretly sinister couple.
