Donald Trump mocks Joe Biden in new speech
Trump made a new impression while addressing the Detroit Economic Club in Michigan on January 13. Midway through his speech, he mentioned his preference for speaking without strict reliance on prepared remarks. “You know, when you go up here, you take a big chance,” Trump said. “Especially me because I’m away from the teleprompter about 80% of the time. But isn’t it nice to have a president who can go away from the teleprompter, don’t you think?”
The comment brought cheers and laughter from the crowd, leading Donald Trump to talk about his predecessor Joe Biden. “Remember the speeches (Biden) will give? At first, they’ll last a few seconds, you know,” he said before beginning a brief impersonation.
Trump then imitated Biden in a sharp tone, saying, “Thank you very much,” and then pretended to make a coughing sound. “Have you ever noticed that Joe always coughs before a speech?” the President asked. “State of the Union (cough Act) He goes ‘Ladies and gentlemen.'”
According to him, Biden’s speeches were often “too short”, although he highlighted one exception. Trump said, “Although once he decorated it very well.” “Remember, he was high as a kite? The Detroit appearance followed Trump’s recent interview the new York TimesWhere he reportedly brought up Biden’s name “repeatedly.” During that interview, Trump said, “I think Joe Biden is the worst thing that happened to old people.” Biden’s criticism of Trump has also appeared in more symbolic ways, such as on the Presidential Walk of Fame.
