Kai Sennett and Twitch CEO arguing in leaked clip

Kai Sennett and Twitch CEO Dan Clancy reportedly clashed at The Streamer Awards 2025.

For those who tuned in back in October, Clancy appeared on Sennett’s Mafiathon 3 stream to congratulate him on reaching one million subscribers. Senate asked Clancy to name streamers who would add to his dream list of “Streamer Mount Rushmore” (via dexerto).

At the time, Clancy named Senet, Ninja, Pokimane and mentioned Eyeshowspeed but it was soon replaced by Kohancarnage. However, in another stream with Mizkiff, Clancy backtracked on his decision to include Senate’s name on the list. He also revealed that he had named the 24-year-old streamer only because the Senate “asked” him.

It seems Clancy’s sudden change of heart upset the New York-based streamer, as she reportedly confronted him on the matter at The Streamer Awards. In the clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), Clancy contacted the Senate and immediately clarified his stance on the issue. He told her, “I guarantee you it was edited.” However, the Senate immediately hit back, saying, “It did not appear to be edited.”

Clancy continued, “Did he tell you what I said? No, no, I’ll tell you exactly what I said. I’ll tell you exactly what I said. Miz gave his Mount Rushmore, right? And then he, like, gave Ozzy. He gave, like, Sodapoppin’ and Wreckful, and all these Ozzies, and I said, ‘Oh, I guess, for some people, Mount Rushmore is for Ozzy.'”

The 24-year-old streamer listened intently to the CEO’s explanation and replied, “Yes.” Clancy further explained, “Okay? And so, if that’s your point, Kai and Speed are no longer at the top of the pinnacle. No, I said, ‘If they are at the top of the pinnacle now, they wouldn’t be on Mount Rushmore.'”

However, it appeared that the Senate was not accepting Clancy’s explanation. He repeated his previous claims to Clancy, who stuck to his stance that his response was “edited”.
