It’s been 15 years since 2026 emilia clarke Debuting in her iconic role as Daenerys Targaryen in game of Thrones. Originally premiering in April 2011, Emilia played the Mother of Dragons throughout the show’s eight seasons, until its controversial finale in May 2019.
To celebrate the anniversary, the actress spoke to Access Hollywood at the premiere of her new series, Ponies, about her time on the show. Emilia talks about her reunion with the huge Game of Thrones cast and who she’s closest with.

“You had a very sweet reunion with Iain Glen,” reach hollywood referring to recent photos of them together at Liverpool Comic Con late last year. “Do you keep in touch with Kit (Harington) and the other cast members? Could there be a reunion?”
“I regularly reunite with Kit and Rose (Leslie),” Emilia revealed. Kit and Rose played Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively in Game of Thrones. The two actors have been married since 2018 and have two children. The couple met during their love affair in the series. Later in the series, Kit’s character becomes romantically involved with Emilia’s character, Daenerys. In true Game of Thrones fashion, the pair were actually aunt and nephew, although the characters were unaware of this.
“They are my true friends,” Emilia said of Rose and Kit. “And I see Ian as much as I can. I love him.”
Since her debut in Game of Thrones, Emilia has also starred as a young Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys (2015) and Kira in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). On television, she had a lead role in Marvel’s Secret Wars series, and will now star in the spy thriller series, Ponies.
