Lady Gaga Speaking out in support of the rights of others is nothing new. So, it’s probably no big surprise that she’s joined the list of celebs condemning ICE in recent days. At a concert in Tokyo this week, the singer gave an emotional speech in support of those back home.

Lady Gaga says “the entire community has lost its sense of safety” because of ICE.

Gaga is nearing the end of her five-night run at the Tokyo Dome as part of her Mayhem Ball tour. On a show on Thursday 29 January, he stopped the show to give an emotional speech.

She told the crowd: “I want to take a second to talk about something that is extremely important to me. Something important to people around the world and especially in America right now. In a few days, I’m going home and my heart is breaking thinking about the people, children, families all across America who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE. I’m thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed in front of us.”

She added, “I’m also thinking about Minnesota and everyone at home who is living in so much fear and looking for answers about what we should all do. When an entire community loses its sense of safety and belonging, it breaks something in all of us. I hope you all stand with us tonight. I know we’re not in America right now, but we are with our community and we love you.”

He then dedicated his song “Come to Mama” to everyone who is suffering, everyone who is feeling alone and helpless, who has lost a loved one and it is a difficult time, an impossible time, let’s see when the end will be near.

Gaga joins several other celebs who have spoken out against ICE, including at the recent Golden Globes.
