Chappelle Rhone has once again proved that she knows how to turn heads on the red carpet. “Good luck, babe!” The hitmaker surprised audiences when she debuted a design from Mugler’s 1998 spring collection titled ‘Jeu de Pomme’ on the Grammys 2026 red carpet. Erica VanBriel wore a black version of the dress for the runway show. The most striking detail of the look was the silver nipple piercings from which the gown hung delicately. It added an edgy, provocative twist to the sheer design.

The top of the dress draped loosely around her torso, then falling fluidly down her hips, gathering in a soft train at her feet. Her barely-there bodice and bent back revealed the henna and tattoos adorning Roan’s body. The contrast between the lack of a proper bodice and the dark skirt gave the ensemble a sculptural quality.

Mugler’s new creative director, Miguel Castro Freitas, took inspiration from the designs for their Spring 2026 collection. However, Roan chose the original vintage style and wore it with a matching cape for the interviews. She wore her signature fiery red curls long and thick, with soft, curly bangs framing her face. A choker necklace, dangling earrings and sandals completed her style.

The 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, was hosted by Trevor Noah. Roan received two nominations, Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for “The Subway”. Other nominees for record of the year included Bad Bunny, Douche and Billie Eilish.
