When Ellie arrives and goes to greet Jason on the bridge, he apologizes for the “change in roles”. Apparently, Ellie was expected to come in as a stew, but changes in Alessia’s inner circle changed that.
“I’m happy to adapt,” she assures him. “I’m happy to learn and grow.”
“Ben is a strong character,” Jason warned him. “You’ve probably worked in these environments, and you know it’s fast-paced. Sometimes it can come off a little, you know, loud.”
“I’ll be able to pull this off,” she promises. “And I really want this to be a strong team.” We’ll see how it goes.
Meanwhile, Ben understands that he is starting fresh with a new “chef’s assistant”, but he is still concerned about her lack of kitchen experience.
“It’s really hard because I’m always a second away from future explosions,” he admits. “I need to make it better.”
For her part, Ellie tells Ben, “I’m not a very sensitive person. I’m from the Balkans, so I’m used to tough love. I’ve never been pampered.”
I can’t wait to see how these two fiery personalities get along.
