The Duke and Duchess arrived in Amman on Wednesday morning, following an invitation from WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. On the first stop of his visit he participated in a discussion organized by WHO with individuals from key bodies including the United Nations.

Next, Harry and Meghan traveled north to the Zaatari refugee camp. There, he toured the camp – where families live in semi-permanent homes – and a youth center run by Questscope. The center offers activities such as art classes and sports sessions to engage the youth living in the camp and help reduce mental health problems.

At the centre, the Duke and Duchess met children who use Questscope’s services. They visited several classrooms, watched teenage girls play traditional Arabic instruments and played a game of soccer.

The pair’s visit to Jordan is their first international tour together in 18 months. Since stepping back from life as senior working royals and moving to California in 2020, the Sussexes have made few overseas trips.

In August 2024 he spent four days in Colombia. This also included a trip to Bogotá to talk to teenagers about the impact of social media. And, earlier that year, Harry and Meghan visited Nigeria to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games.
