Hillary Clinton Hitting back at one of her former political rivals. The 2016 Democratic nominee for president issued a statement to Congress Jeffrey Epstein files. Her name appears in those documents, along with her husband and former President Bill Clinton.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenaed him on the assumption that he had details about the Jeffrey and Ghislaine Maxwell sex trafficking scandal. Hillary had some choice words about the congressional committee. In her statement posted on her Hillary claimed, “I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein.” He accused the House committee of “making little effort to subpoena the people who figure most prominently in the Epstein files.”
The current President was also among the names that were reportedly revised numerous times. Congressman Jamie Raskin claimed that Donald was named in several documents in the Epstein file. Democratic Representative Ted Lieu has said that the mention of Bill and Hillary in the documents is a distraction tactic to protect the President.
In her statement, Clinton accused the chairman, ranking members and committee members of holding zero public hearings regarding the Epstein files. He also noted that eight law enforcement officials had been previously summoned. Many of them either directed the FBI or ran the Justice Department. “Only one of those eight appeared before the committee,” she says.
The former foreign minister gave an affidavit on January 13 saying he was not aware of Jeffrey’s wrongdoing. Bill will testify tomorrow.
