Fans welcome Carole’s return in any capacity, but Dorinda believes she should have been given a more prominent role on the show.
“I was surprised she came as a friend. I think she should be full-time,” she said. “A friend-of-a-little, that’s too little. She should be, you know, I don’t know if I could go back to being a full-time housewife and be friends with these new girls.”
Kate supported Carroll’s return, comparing her to New York star Carrie Bradshaw.
“I always liked Carol,” she shared. “I thought she was like Carrie Bradshaw in real life, like, ‘I’m a writer girl.'”
The two also speculated on why the RHONY alum was invited back. They agreed that Carroll could serve as “a bridge” between the OG artists and the new artists.
Dorinda said, “I think the show needs a character, something that can make it a little bit older.” “She’s a great bridge. She’s just like New York.”
However, Dorinda expressed concern about how Carole would fit in with the new women.
“It will be interesting to watch because the girls are so young,” he said. “It’s a different world than the one she was in.”
