Whoopi and Elizabeth are miles apart politically
Whoopi and Elizabeth disagree with each other over border control in the United States. In Wednesday’s episode, both of them clashed on this issue. “We need a stronger border, especially now with our current global situation,” says Elizabeth. She further says that deep down she does not believe Whoopi is against ICE.
The Academy Award-winning actress pushed back, noting her address to the nation during former President Joe Biden’s tenure. Joe said he has a good precinct that is bipartisan. Whoopi expresses her problem to immigration agents while wearing a mask. Elizabeth’s response was that Whoopi’s party was a “mask party.”
Like Elizabeth, Whoopi has often shown a fiery personality and has attacked political topics. In February, Whoopi criticized the Trump administration’s release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. He objected to the names of several sex trafficking victims featured in those documents.
Eventually, the debate changed when Whoopi clarified that she was talking about ICE raids targeting people taking their kids to school. Elizabeth acknowledged that this was a fair issue. Everyone on the panel agreed that no one wants to see anyone die.
