Jennifer Lopez recently shared a playful but heartfelt piece of relationship advice while performing on stage in Las Vegas. During one of her residency shows, the singer stopped by the audience to talk directly about what women really want from their partners. The moment, which quickly circulated online after a clip was shared on Instagram, showed Lopez offering a light-hearted perspective on love and effort in relationships. According to the artist, the answer may be simpler than many people expect.
Jennifer Lopez Says Women Need ‘A Little Sugar’ From Men At Her Las Vegas Residency
Jennifer Lopez is currently performing a series of shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace as part of her Las Vegas residency, Up All Night. During a recent performance, the “Jenny from the Block” singer took some time between songs to share a “secret” with the audience.
In a video shared on Instagram by user @jpasc24, Lopez is seen addressing the crowd and specifically the men in attendance, before delivering a humorous but sharp message. “Guys, lean towards me for a second, okay. Here’s a secret,” she said on stage.
According to Lopez, women don’t expect grand gestures. “Women don’t want much,” he told the audience. “It’s true. It’s true. We need very little.” He then reveals the one thing women want from men: “All we need from you is a little sugar.”
The singer further explained that by “sugar” she meant simple acts of kindness and warmth. “That’s the point. You give us a little sugar, a little sweetness, kindness and we’ll give you a lot in return,” she said.
Lopez also shared an analogy, saying she once heard how women “multiply” the effort they receive. According to the explanation he cited, if men gave groceries to women, they would turn them into full meals. “You give us a bag of groceries, we’ll cook you a five-course meal,” Lopez said. “You give us a house, we will give you a house.”
However, he also added a humorous warning that the same idea could work the other way around. “But if you give us any grief, we’ll give you a thousand headaches,” she quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.
