Josh Gad’s Disneyland Paris holidays were cut short. The man best known for voicing Olaf in the Frozen movies was in the City of Light to visit the Frozen-themed section of the park when unexpected circumstances arose.
The father of two had just arrived in the French capital this week when news of his mother’s condition reached him. According to Josh, she is suffering from a “serious medical emergency.” In such a situation, Josh had no choice but to pack his things and go home to be with Susan.
Josh asks his fans for their “prayers”
Tragedy can strike suddenly while revealing the depths of love. Like most people, Josh’s family comes first. Her Instagram post begins by saying she was “so heartbroken” to hear about her mother. Josh says he didn’t get a chance to go to the World of Frozen area at the theme park because of the news at home.
Although Josh didn’t reveal specific details about his mom’s medical issues, it seems like the two are incredibly close. The man who played Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon has posted plenty of photos with his mother online, including a 2024 birthday tribute. During this difficult time, Josh told fans, “Please keep my mom in your prayers.”
Their roles in the Frozen franchise have made many actors, including Josh and Idina Menzel, household names. The lead actor who voices Elsa in the animated films reportedly had a net worth of $18 million last year.
Josh will have a busy 2026 with the third Angry Birds film currently in production, while he will also star in Orangutan. She is also set to co-star in Spaceballs 2 next year with Mel Brooks and Rick Moranis.
