Below Deck Season 4 Episode 7 Recap: Tweedledum and Tweedledumber

welcome back, below deck below below Fans! Last week, Alessia and Eddie’s drunk texts rocked the boat. As a result, Jenna’s attraction to Eddie is waning, while Mike has definitely lost respect for Alessia. However, many have their eyes on Mike as well, as he keeps spilling decks/stew tea and disappearing when needed, as seen in BDDU Season 4 Episode 7.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 7?

Ben is in the oven, and his guests want a multi-course dinner. The pressure is on and Ben feels it. Meanwhile, Mike is also feeling the heat. His gossip sessions and disappearing acts this week have his boss talking, and not in a good way.

Ben has a six-course dinner, but his new oven stops after three days. He feels “nervous,” but at least he has a fryer, roasting oven and sous vide machine to work with. Alessia receives a message from her boyfriend, Harrison. She leaves him to study.

While his guests are preparing for dinner, Eddie walks onto the swim platform. It’s a mess. Daisy offers to call Mike, but as Edie notes, Mike “comes out, does something, and then he goes back in.” Daisy goes in to grab Mike.

In his interview, Eddy admitted that he was “mostly disappointed in myself.” His foolish text messages with Alessia may cost him Jenna. As for Mike, he feels like he can’t win, as both Daisy and Joao have contacted him with their concerns.

Ben makes hors d’oeuvres for the guests’ cocktail hour, but gets hungry midway through. They want dinner now. Daisy tries to drive faster, but Ben stops and they start arguing in the galley.

Thankfully, Ben manages to get everything out in time. Captain Jason was at the table and loved everything. But Mecca is not happy with their apple pie dessert. She calls Ben to the table.

Ben prepared very complex dishes. Still, Mecca asks, “Was it your best?” “I tried,” says Ben. Her face falls, but Mecca throws her hands in the air, revealing that she was only toying with him.

“I was about to quit,” Ben says, laughing.

Mike asks Jenna if she needs any help. “Clear the main salon,” Jenna replies. Mike replied, “So happy, Jenna.” But then, Mike goes to bed.

Unlike Mike, Joao heads to the galley to help. Here, Ellie brings up their failed peer chat, you know, the one from last week, which João willingly invited Alessia to crash. “It feels good to get it off my chest,” Ellie admitted in her confessional. João laughed and said, “Mayday, mayday.”

Jenna and Mike are in bed now. Before heading to her cabin for the night, Daisy hands Alessia a list of tasks. Alessia gets to work, but the guests are still up. She waits for them, and when they finally go to bed at 1 a.m., Alessia gets back to her list.

But Harrison, her boyfriend, “kept texting” all day. Alessia continues to read to him. As she crawls into bed while the stuff downstairs is still not done, she finally sends him a busy, soon-to-be-talked-out styled message around 3:00 AM.

In the morning, Captain Jason spies a dirty table in the salon. Meanwhile, in the galley, Jenna has shifted her attention back to Ben. They share a laugh with the promise of much more to come. But when Jenna goes upstairs and sees how messed up everything still is, her smile disappears.

“What the fuck,” Jenna moans, blaming Alessia and Mike, aka “Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber.” Jenna gets to work, quickly trying to make things nice before her guests arrive. Later she finds Mike in the crew mess and asks him what time he went to bed, because everything was looking terrible. He tells her about midnight, but then, Mike becomes aggressive, arguing that his breaks were short, he was tired, and that Jenna needs to stop coming for him.

On the swimming stage, Mike avoided blame. Daisy called him and asked him to keep the cutlery away. Mike argues that he has already done so. “No, you didn’t,” Daisy disputes.

Mike continues to argue, which Daisy hates. But she takes pity on Alessia, as Alessia is on the verge of tears. In the end, their guests leave a tidy $28k tip and one nasty comment that Alessia always looked “stressed out.” Naturally, Alessia gets a disco ball helmet.

Ben feels like he is tired. Ellie angrily cleans up after herself, as Ben heads to the guest cabin for a bubble bath and a glass of wine. Meanwhile, Alessia finally calls Harrison. She hints that something happened, but she has “destroyed every part” of it.

The crew heads to the bar, but Alessia leaves her helmet behind. Captain Jason saw it and frantically brought it to the club. At their table, Edie and Jenna talk, but Alessia walks in. Ben invites Jenna to sit with him, and Jenna happily obliges.

“There’s chemistry” between Jenna and Ben, Ben admits, as are Daisy and Joao. Not doing well, Eddie tries to flirt with Jenna, who shuts him down thanks to her messages. Eddy denies ever texting Jenna anything about leaving, but as Jenna reveals, she has seen his messages. She is completely done with Eddie.
