Southern Hospitality Season 4 Episode 2 Recap: Shaken Not Shaken

welcome back to us southern hospitality Season 4 Recap! Last week, Maddie, Brad and Mia agreed to move on from their issues, but Amy is still on the fence. This week, there’s more discussion, going back to its roots, and a new beef shakes things up. Here’s everything that happened on Southern Hospitality Season 4, Episode 3: “An Olive Branch, Served Dirty.”

The episode begins with Mia’s quick voiceover explaining what happened in the first two episodes. It ends with his revelation that he and Maddie have destroyed their flesh and she is now alone and ready to be with each other.

Q: Justin! He is flirting and teasing Mia. He admits that he is not normally a home breaker, but if he had the chance to wreck Mia and Troy’s house, he would do so. It looks like she’s in full stalking mode despite “dating” Jordan. Who needs these dangerous labels anyway?

Maddie also takes the opportunity to talk to TJ (without her PowerPoint, thank god). Fortunately, negotiations are going well. Both apologize and agree to move on. However, TJ isn’t ready to move on with Amy yet because he and Brad still have some serious issues with how Amy portrayed them.

Justin proposes a toast to Brad and Julia. He also says it would be great if everyone could get over their beef and enjoy summer.

Amy knows that’s unlikely to happen and jokes that if everyone can improve, she’ll break her two-year health sobriety and take a shot. On that note, the discussion begins.

Amy tried to cover up the whole drama by saying that everyone made mistakes. Brad doesn’t have that. He brings up the fact that she said he made her feel “unsafe”, and everyone gets angry.

Amy tries to justify her feelings by saying that he never said he was dead to her, so his message to her “scared her”, but Molly quickly shuts it down by saying that she heard Amy say it through the wall of their shared hotel.

Even Mia and Michaels join in and remind Amy what this type of harmful terminology can do to their town. Amy admitted that it wasn’t the right word to use, but her emotions and anger got the better of her.

Then we switch to TJ, who got a lot of hate because Amy and Will basically co-signed him as a stalker when they went on the podcast. She is still upset, and Amy admits that at the time she didn’t know what to say.

Molly even took issue with Amy for liking an inappropriately fat-shaming IG comment. All the chickens are coming home to roost. Eventually, Amy raises her hands and says she’s sorry. Finally, Amy apologizes to Brad again, and he reluctantly agrees to try to move on.

Alcohol to the rescue: Here come the body shots at Folly Beach

Emmy tries her best with everyone in hopes of starting a new and better chapter. And it’s not the last drink of the evening.

The crew goes to a bar to take body shots. TJ shares a kiss with Michaels, and there’s more than a quick kiss between the pair at the end of it. Amy was put off because Michaels is much younger than TJ.

Meanwhile, Justin isn’t missing his shot (thanks, Wayne Gretzky). He goes for it with Mia. He may have spent more time than necessary on her navel, but she didn’t mind the sight.

Friends with Benefits Southern Hospitality Style

After a fun night at the Folly, everyone is back to work. Justin admitted to spending more time with Mia after the body shot and that they dated. This didn’t sit well with Jordan, who confronted her about it (but spent the night anyway).

It seems Justin is also taking advantage of his friends while pursuing Mia, who he has dubbed “the female version of him.” Wow, talk about self-love.

Meanwhile, another friend who occasionally benefits are TJ and Michaels. Lake feels a little awkwardness and “sexual tension” with the pair at work, but TJ brushes it off and says why can’t they just be hookup friends?

Joey Bottles makes his triumphant return to Kings Street

Joe is determined to prove to Leva that he is worthy and decides to return to what he does best. He takes Justin and Brad on a walk with him down Kings Street to meet everyone and invite them to Republic.

From tourists to bachelorette parties to out-of-town friends, he has a Pied Piper-like vibe as he brings the crowd back to the bar, much to Leva’s delight.

She admits that he did a great job that night but reminds him that he needs consistency. She not only needs to bring the crowd, but also needs to be there with Maddie for shifts elsewhere, planning events, going to meetings, etc. He needs to see this for the next six to eight months.

Olive branch to Emmy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be

It’s been one year since Molly left her worthless ex so she’s celebrating with all her girls and lesbians. Lake arrived early to help her get ready and told her that Emmy would not make it because Molly had not invited her and had not personally “extended an olive branch”.

Molly is not phased. She doesn’t think Emmy was sincere in her apology. She thinks that even if he had called her, she would not have come.

And speaking of olive branches, Emmy may have extended a branch to Brad, but she definitely wasn’t being honest with TJ and Molly. And this is proven when she chats on the phone with her friend and essentially admits that she apologized to him for “leaving her alone”.

Then she doubles her intake of TJ Beef. She admits that she doesn’t think he’s a stalker, but she thinks he’s behaving inappropriately, going after drunk straight men. Umm, he might need a refresher on the definition of stalker.

Molly’s girls and lesbians night is full of pajamas, cucumbers, and tension

Molly’s party starts off with a little tension (and a bunch of “salty” cucumbers for Michaels). Maddie shared that Grace had ambushed her over the dress code before she arrived. Grace was angry that no one told her it was a pajama party.

Grace seems to have a problem with Maddy especially since it was Molly’s party, but Maddy got in trouble for not telling her about the pajama theme. This is later proven true when Grace tells Maddie to shut the fuck up and say she is annoying. Maybe it was talking about alcohol but it seemed a little harsh.

Grace admits that she is angry with Maddy but doesn’t want to talk about it in public. Ultimately, she admits that she thinks Maddie is not a mutual friend. From Maddie’s perspective, Grace blames her for everything.

And it is there. When one beef is crushed another rises up to take its place. Hopefully, we’ll have more information next week.

southern hospitality Airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. It flows on the peacock.
