Kaylor Martin Reconsiders Relationship,
For fans of Love Island USA, the drama continues even after the show wraps up. One of the most talked-about relationships from Season 6 involves Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans, whose dynamic took a turn after Kaylor watched the Casa Amor episodes.
Kaylor’s Decision to Step Back
During a recent appearance on the “BFFs” podcast, Kaylor Martin, 22, shared that she’s reevaluating her relationship with Aaron Evans, 27, after seeing the Casa Amor episodes. “We’ve been talking [and] I think he knows how I feel about everything,” Kaylor said. “I want to take a step back just because, like, now we are in the real world and I am seeing everything.”
Kaylor still believes in her genuine connection with Aaron, but the revelations from Casa Amor have made her reconsider their future. “I don’t want to end things because I know what Aaron and I had was true and real, but I feel like I just gave him chance after chance,” she explained. “It wasn’t even all the Casa [Amor] thing but it was just more so him not taking accountability like Kordell [Beckham] did, which really hurt. I feel like the least I deserved was the truth, and I didn’t receive that.”
Complications from Casa Amor
Kaylor and Aaron’s relationship, which began on day one of Season 6, faced challenges during the Casa Amor twist. Aaron had a brief relationship with Daniela Ortiz Rivera, which included kissing, sharing a bed, and flirting—actions he didn’t fully disclose to Kaylor. “When I finally got the truth, it still wasn’t the entirety of everything that happened,” Kaylor noted. Watching the episodes filled in the gaps for her, leading her to reassess their relationship.
Trust Issues and Moving Forward
Kaylor admitted to developing trust issues from the show. “I don’t want to be that toxic person in this relationship, so I don’t really know [where this will go],” she added. The inconsistency between Aaron’s actions and words, especially regarding his intentions to meet her family, has left her with doubts. “I know this wouldn’t happen in the real world, but it still makes me question a lot of things because he was like, ‘I can’t wait to meet your mother’ and [was] saying my mom’s name out of his mouth and then putting his tongue down another girl’s throat.”
Aaron, on his part, expressed his commitment to making their relationship work. “I’m willing to make it work, like, I want it to work as much as possible,” Aaron said. He acknowledged Kaylor’s feelings as “valid” and emphasized his desire to be with her. “I wouldn’t have asked her out if I didn’t want that to be the situation. I know it’s going to be a bit difficult at the moment, but I know that we’ll be able to get through it. This is going to be the most difficult part and, in a couple of months’ time, I know we’ll be in a better place.”
Future Plans
British-born Aaron is planning to move closer to Kaylor, currently applying for an O-visa to relocate to Los Angeles. Despite his optimism, “BFFs” cohost Dave Portnoy expressed skepticism about their long-term prospects. “Kaylor, you’re in Pittsburgh [and] he’s in the U.K., what are we even talking about?” Portnoy quipped, adding a touch of sarcasm, “I hope you two lovebirds make it. Fine.”
As Kaylor and Aaron navigate their relationship post-show, fans will eagerly watch to see if they can overcome the hurdles and build a lasting connection.
