Angelina made her Survivor debut in Season 37 alongside Survivor 50 castmates Mike White and Christian Hubicki. She quickly became a fan favorite, known for her outgoing personality and chaotic gameplay style. However, viewers saw a more ordinary version of the reality star at 50. Its editing was minimal and forgettable, which was a major disappointment for Survivor: David vs. Goliath fans. She recently spoke about her unfortunate editing in an interview and criticized the production for not showcasing women’s stories.

In her exit interview with Page Six, Angelina expressed frustration with how the production is handling female storylines this season.
“I think they can do a lot better,” she began. “They make a lot of pretense about diversity and inclusion and empowering voices and women, and I think they’re doing a really poor job of showcasing female stories and telling female stories so far this season.”
“Why is everything we see about Chrissy (Hoffbach) is negative? she asked. “Why is everything we see about me is negative?”
He said, “I feel like with their reach, their show, they can either be a reflection of society, they can move society forward, or they can just feed the beast.” “And by feeding the beast I mean promoting our worst qualities. And that’s who I am.” Feel like they’re doing the same this time.”
He talked more about the lack of representation in an interview with Entertainment WeeklyDescribed the edit as “extremely shameful”. He also shared his thoughts on his DVG friend Christian taking a jibe at him and Mike, which came as a big shock to the audience.
“I think it means a lot to him. I think it’s obvious that he’s playing Survivor again and trying to win SSurvivor is the most important thing for Christian right now,” she told EW. “And that’s what I felt seeing him there was how he made the decisions he made.”
