welcome back, below deck below below Fans! Last week, Ellie stormed out of the galley in anger and clashed with Captain Jason, hell-bent on throwing Ben under the bus. Elsewhere, Mike is also upset, but his problems are with Alessia. But now, things are about to get worse for both of these couples on BDDU Season 4 Episode 9.
What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 9?
Ben and Ellie clash over dinner service. Even though Ellie likes the hierarchy, she refuses to respect Ben, so Daisy and Captain Jason have no choice but to intervene. Meanwhile, Daisy also had to scold some of her team members. Unfortunately, his mistakes in the interior are beginning to add up.
Ellie runs to Captain Jason

Ellie only sees the red people, not her guests. One of these guests, Sophia, says to Ellie, “Hey.” But, Ellie remains on her mission to reach Captain Jason, so she quickly snaps back, “Sorry, can’t do it right now.” Another guest, Amira, sarcastically responded, “Okay?”
Finally, Ellie reaches the sundeck. She notes Ben’s communication skills and pet naming patterns. Captain Jason thought they were doing well, so he is just as confused as Ben.
Ben admits, “Having no inkling of prior unhappiness, this is all coming as a big, big shock to me.” Back on the sundeck, Captain Jason tells Ellie, “You have boundaries, and you need to communicate them with her.”
In his talkative mind, Captain Jason also blames Ellie for losing his temper “ten minutes before dinner”. He will keep an eye on this situation. Ellie returns to the galley, where Ben notes her exhaustion while “working around” her energy. “I work around your energy every day, Ben,” Ellie rebutted angrily, “Get rid of it.”
Daisy admits, “I’ve never seen anyone go at their boss in the galley like that in my entire life.” That’s fair but does Daisy have a boss who refuses to address people by their first names?

“Let’s be extra vigilant on toilet paper and the side cabinet,” Alessia tells Mike. Several times later, Daisy reminds Alessia to have flowers, champagne, and red wine in the primary suite.
Back in the galley, Ben asks Joao for help, but Ellie argues, “No, it’s my job, and I’ll do my job. We’re not doing this. You’re not going to do this crap with me. I’ll never accept it again.”
Jenna remains frustrated with Alessia, but Ellie is the second woman to feel uncomfortable around Ben, she notes. Speaking of Alessia, she reminds Mike to “do a day job.” So, Mike comes forward in his confessional.
Mike reasons, “Alessia is younger than me, she’s much less mature than everyone on this boat, and she’s already failed in the galley. So, it gets under my skin when Alessia tries to delegate.” “I don’t need extra management,” he says, just as Alessia points out in her talking head, “Mike needs management.”
Alessia asks Mike to take wine, flowers and champagne to the main cabin. Mike says ok, but then he goes down and starts drinking water vigorously. Clay enters his cabin, confused. Clay finds Jenna and reminds her about her priorities.
Jenna scolds Mike. Daisy is also worried. This was a big mess for his team.
Ben is “surprised” by Ellie

Ben is master of his behavior. But Ellie sternly said her “reaction was appropriate because you were belittling me. And I stood up for myself, which I will continue to do.” Ben tells Ellie to go to bed, but Ellie remains hot.
“Daisy, she’s crazy about Ben,” Mike whispers. Daisy heads downstairs to hear Ellie threatening Ben with a “don’t try me” statement. She sends Ellie to bed, but even after Ellie passes out, she warns Ben that she will react similarly again if needed.
Ben sends a May Day message to Captain Jason. In the morning Captain Jason calls Daisy into the wheelhouse. Daisy believes Ellie is more to blame. Ben later arrives, and he and Captain Jason agree to reevaluate things in 48 hours.
Ben’s guests (obviously) hate his “watery,” “gross” eggs. He is messing up, because he feels “intimidated” by Ellie. However this is no excuse for a “professional” chef. Captain Jason pulls Ellie in for a conversation.
In the wheelhouse, Ellie explains that Ben “kept sneaking up” on her, so she yelled. However, Captain Jason says, “She went a little too far.” He calls her out for actions like “swearing, yelling” and “lashing out in front of guests.” Ellie would do better, but Ben needs to do it too, she replies.
captain jason laid down the law

Primary charter guests, Clay and Mark, are renewing their vows tonight on the sundeck. As Eddy and Jenna set the stage, their flirting resumes. Jenna may now be “over” her issues.
But he is not ahead of Mike. He is moving slowly, which drives Jenna crazy. Mike likes to bite Jenna, so he starts annoying her even more. Daisy inserts herself, yelling, “Jenna and Mike, let’s go!”
Captain Jason takes up his officiating role, using Daisy and João as his stand-ins. They giggle, and it’s probably the only fun part of this episode, aside from Mark and Clay’s extra precious wedding ceremony.
In the morning Daisy found a cleaning cloth in one of the rooms. Alessia blames Mike, but the cameras show that it was actually her. The guests leave.
Captain Jason calls Ellie and Ben into the wheelhouse. “Where it’s gotten to is not acceptable. We’re trying to get a job done, so I think you guys need to have a conversation now and understand that, emotionally, (Ellie) wants respect there. I want to see a result, and if you have a problem with that, we make changes,” he demands, as the words TO BE CONTINUED appear on the screen.
