Regé-Jean Page recently sat down for an interview. In it, he discusses his work as an actor and his new film with Halle Bailey, “You, Me and Tuscany.” During the discussion he was asked about the rumors related to James Bond.
Page admitted his surprise at being attached to the role. The “Black Bag” star said Sir That it was “weird (and) not normal.” He also described the “intensity” surrounding the question of an MI6 agent taking over as “a bit unusual”.
Page then emphasized the importance of handling negotiations and his growing popularity in relation to helping his career. “How I navigate it depends largely on what’s useful,” the “Grey Man” actor shared. “What helps me in my work is being able to deliver to the audience what I need to deliver, and a lot of that is just grounding.”
He later spoke openly about his popularity and the associated James Bond casting challenges. Page admitted that he felt overwhelmed by his celebrity status, emphasizing that he “worked quite consciously” to balance stardom with “normalcy”.
Page previously said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he was “delighted” to hear his name in the James Bond casting discussion along with other notable names. However, he called the honor “a merit badge” for British actors who did something famous and nothing more.
