And their ongoing divorce is following the same pattern. However, it appears that both Jax and Brittany are putting Cruz first, which is wonderful to hear.
Wally Starr and his ex have a controversial relationship
During Season 2 of The Valley, Jax treated Brittany very badly. He overturned a coffee table and hurt his leg. While in rehab, he watched Brittany through his home cameras and continued to anger her. Ultimately, Jax decided to exit the series before Season 3, leading to a more peaceful season for Brittany. And thankfully, she recently shared that Jax is sober.
However, their co-parenting dynamics aren’t easy to navigate. She previously said that “it’s better than it was two years ago.” Recently, Brittany shared more details about her co-parenting situation with Jax.
“It’s not easy being together, but we both want to put Cruz first. That’s what I will say,” Britney told Entertainment Tonight. “We already have custody. He stays with me most of the time. Right now Jax has him on Wednesdays and every other weekend.”
Still, communication between the two is an issue. Brittany said, “It’s been hard, and I’ve really had to set boundaries. He’s a famous anger messenger and everything. So, it’s kind of had to calm down.”
She added, “We have a parenting app that we talk through. We don’t talk on the phone anymore.” The Wally star added, “And it just happened in the last month, because before that it was having to be blocked… like having to be blocked every other week or something.” Oh.
It looks like Jax and Brittany’s co-parenting relationship is slowly improving. And if communicating through an app helps create some healthy distance, even better.
