Captured by Norma Jean Roy, she graced the cover of Elle USA and sat down for a detailed interview ahead of the release of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic drama, “The Odyssey,” in which she stars as Odysseus’s wife, Penelope.

Anne Hathaway looked no less than a water goddess in the new pictures of Elle magazine. She wore a seafoam green column-style dress. It featured a deep plunging halter neckline that was gently draped, molding the torso into a wet-look silhouette. The gown clung to her frame before falling at her feet submerged in water. The semi-sheer fabric is fully saturated at the hem, creating an ombre effect.
Perched atop her head was an avant-garde, structural headpiece by Celia Kritharioti. The piece had huge, circular wire frames covered with delicate, thin white feathers that spread outward like a halo. Through the falling sheet of water, the headpiece created an unrealistic distortion. Additionally, she accessorized with a pair of delicate drop earrings and a single, sleek metal bracelet from Bulgari. The minimalist styling kept the focus on the fluid textures of her gown.
Hathaway wore her long hair in a slicked-back, wet look. Meanwhile, the makeup featured a stark, icy blue smoky eye that was draped around the lids, paired with a glossy, deep berry lip. The waterfall like set design enhanced the beauty of Jal Devi.
Another photo from the same shoot was based on a dark, romantic Ophelia-inspired narrative. It shows the “Princess Diaries” star wearing an emerald green gown from Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Crafted from semi-transparent fabric, the dress features heavy ruffling and tightly gathered tiers along the bodice down the length of the torso. Its long, flared sleeves were gathered at the wrist. A Bulgari necklace was on her collarbone while she lay in the water in a relaxed pose.
