They’ll criticize him everywhere,” Rogan told guest and fellow comedian Joey Diaz. After the pair analyzed the strange clip, the podcaster framed the episode as a lesson in crowd management for any public figure.
Rogan said, “If it’s 50/50 (cheers and boos), don’t go to that place. Go to the UFC.” The Ultimate Fighting Championship, where Rogan serves as a color commentator, has long been a welcoming environment for Trump. The press has attended several cards, most notably alongside UFC chief executive Dana White, and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
The podcaster and Diaz criticized conservative personalities who were often seen cageside with Trump. Rogan described the group of Kid Rock, White and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson as the “Conservative Avengers”, adding, “I was like… this is ridiculous.”
Rogan’s relationship with Trump has completely changed. The podcaster, who once warmly welcomed the president on his program, has become more critical during Trump’s second term. He had previously characterized some followers of Make America Great Again as “dorks” and publicly challenged the administration’s approach to immigration enforcement.
