welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean Fans! Last week, Jo found out her mom had breast cancer, and after about 3 minutes, she and Nathan reconciled. However, this soon ends, once Nathan jumps to conclusions about something Joe said on a crew night out. But now, Nathan has to deal with even bigger problems on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 3.
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 3?
Our first love triangle is formed, and a new second stew is crowned. However, this publicity causes internal tension. But when a toxic guest joins in and takes issue with Nathan, Nathan becomes angry and accepts that this may be his final charter of Season 11.
Sailor and somewhat healed bromance
Ayesha reminds Nathan that Joe “just got news about his mom. She’s probably in a weird place.” But Nathan “doesn’t give a damn.” And if he stays, he might “kill” Joe, so he goes to his nearest rental instead.
Joe finds Nathan “over-reactive (and) very aggressive.” Then, Luke and Joey flirt, so do Kat and Cooper, and Joe and Kelly. Kylie has the word “Obligation” tattooed on the inside of her lip. Joe loves his humor.
Nathan arrives at his rental and Gail tells Cameron about their night. She becomes stressed. But tonight was “mentally very challenging” for Joe. She received “the worst news ever”, and now “Nathan has my back.”
Joe needs “escape from reality”. Luckily for her, “Kaylie is a pretty good distraction.”
Nearby, Luke hugs Joey. The General watches and suppresses his talking head. Cooper looks at this situation. He tells Luke, “The General and Sheffie are interested in you.”
Luke knows. However, he sees “something deeper” with Joey. Meanwhile, Cat wants a “house full of cats”.
Luke asks Joey if they can “chill” at his cabin. She says no, because “nothing great is easy to achieve.” But Kaylee isn’t looking for anything long-term, so she goes up and makes out with Joe. These two, at least, are on the same page.
In the morning, Nathan returns to the yacht. He doesn’t want Joe to ever talk about Gail. “It won’t happen again,” Joe says.
Then, Nathan relented. “On a personal note, honestly, I’m sorry. I promise I won’t react like that again,” he says. Nathan also praises Joe for his work so far, which leaves Joe “really surprised”.
A second stew and an angry charter guest
Johnny and Michelle Damon are back on board. They want the experience of dining in the dark and the challenge of an escape room. Kaylee is “excited to go back and research” the latter idea, she says, after Gen admitted she’s done one of these before and “hated it.” Several times later, Ayesha makes Kaylee her second stew.
Angered, the general asked in his interview, “Are you serious?” Sadly for him, Ayesha is there.
Ayesha tells the camera, “On paper General may have more experience. But Kaylee has this drive, this determination and so much enthusiasm. She’s like a little Scrappy-Doo.”
The General complained to Kat. But in defense of her statement, Kat admitted that she “does not share” his opinion.
The visiting group, one of whom, Joseph, is already in the mood. As the deck team prepares to leave the dock, Nathan approaches and tells the guests to go inside. Joseph grumbles, “If you think I should listen to you…” Uh oh.
Joseph sits nearby while some other people sit around. Nathan approaches again and asks them to “please go inside”. Joseph immediately argues, “Brother, I’m off the rail, and now you’re telling me to go in, like, any more instructions, like, do you want me to go to the bottom center?” He further growls, “Brother, I’ll tear your face off.”
Joseph walks in and continues talking about Nathan. But Joseph is also fighting with Addis, the woman he came on the ship with. And Addis now wants to get off the boat. Captain Sandy dropped anchor and granted this poor woman’s request.
A charter guest confronts Nathan
The General writes a flirtatious sticky note to Luke, while Joseph’s reign of terror continues. Joseph wants to go on a jet ski, so he tells Joe he can only have “one cocktail”. Nathan fact-checks him and learns otherwise, and he tells Joseph to get off.
Joseph confronts Nathan, saying, “Tell me I’m wrong.” Nathan does. “I’m done with this piece of shit,” Joseph mutters.
Joseph yells, “According to my man, you can jump off the second floor of the boat, but you can’t ride a jet ski.” Ayesha orders, “Please do not disrespect our bosun.” “This is the third time he’s asked to put me in my place,” Joseph argues. “He is doing his job,” says Ayesha.
Joseph asks, “Why is he focusing on me?” Without missing a beat, Ayesha says, “Because you’re becoming a problem for her.” But no, Joseph thinks, Nathan is “becoming a problem for me.” “Just be respectful,” Ayesha sighs, and then she radios Captain Sandy to keep him posted.
Talk to Captain Sandy Joseph. But during dinner, he is disrespectful to several crew members, so Captain Sandy watches him again. After dinner, Joseph heads to the wheelhouse. Nathan gently pushes him away.
Joseph calls his lawyer and tries to get another woman to join him. Then, he returns to the wheelhouse. “You’re a little clingy,” he says as he sits in the seat next to Nathan and lists several things he hates about him. In his interview, Nathan humbly admits, “I’m about to be fired.”
