andy dick’s Last year’s brush with death is an event of which he has no recollection. The comedian, who has had his share of substance abuse issues, slipped onto the streets in December. It is believed he had overdosed on fentanyl.
This is why newsradio actors cannot remember that horrific incident. Andy says he had a CAT scan, which revealed a hole in his brain. Interestingly, the presence of fentanyl in his system may be the only reason he is alive today to share his story. Narcan can reverse those effects. After taking that shot, Andy is revived.
Andy Dick’s brain injury is actually from a 2019 incident
Contrary to what you might think, Andy’s head injury has nothing to do with his drug history. Speaking on the Howie Madele Do Stuff podcast, Andy says, “He’s got about five to seven holes in his brain”. A representative for Andy has said, “The problem in his mind is the 2019 attack.” The comedian was reportedly assaulted by an attacker outside the club where Andy and Paris Dylan performed. He believes that with time Andy’s brain will heal.
The holes in Andy are called wounds. According to the Cleveland Clinic, they can develop for a number of reasons, including brain injuries, chronic stress and other factors.
At the time of his most recent drug episode, Andy was with some friends before running away to smoke crack cocaine. A video showed him collapsing on some stairs and bystanders called an ambulance. In January, it was reported that he left rehab after a near-death experience.
Andy’s condition has once again recovered from the overdose. His representative says he is back sober and in good condition, despite the scary moment. He has a long history of arrests for a variety of alleged assaults and public intoxication.
