welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean Fans! Last week, Nathan selfishly spent some extreme alone time with Gail. However, the Zero story landed more seriously than Kathy’s. Her stepfather passed away, so now, Kathy is faced with a big decision, as are Joe and Kizzy, albeit for completely different reasons. Here’s what happened on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 14, “Guilt Trip.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 14?
Kizzy and Joe deliberately mess with Vee behind his back. But now, Kizzy feels bad for sneaking around with her friend, as does Joe, or so they both claim. Anyway, V is back on the ship. So, now, Joe and Kizzy must decide how to handle their dirty little hookup secret.
Kathy makes a bold, tough decision
Captain Sandy lost his parents at sea, so he understands Kathy’s grief. As for Max, he’s really starting to like Kathy. He hopes she will want to stay here. But he knows he may have to go.
From her hotel, V celebrates her birthday, which is also the first anniversary of Bon’s death. She explains that her emotions are clearly disorganized.
Back on the yacht, guests go on their lighthouse picnic. Here, Max is getting worried. He wants to return to the ship to console his girl, Cathy. But Nathan is still behaving “selfishly”, keeping Gail on the yacht rather than replacing her with Max.
Nathan’s self-service scheduling is actually working in his favor, as back on the yacht, we see that Gail’s defenses are beginning to wane. Speaking of committed, Kathy walks out of her cabin fully dressed and ready to tackle this charter. At present, she is living on the ship. But she admits she will continue to take things “minute by minute”.
joe and kizzy spiral
Ayesha hopes to offer at least one synchronous dinner service. But Josh keeps cooking family-style meals. She talks to him, but Josh is hesitant to switch gears, noting that they “haven’t had any problems so far” with their guests.
Ayesha also asks Josh to make a cake. After returning to the yacht she wants to celebrate V. Ayesha also wanted to honor Bon with a flower arrangement courtesy of the sea.
Max eventually returns to the boat. He pulls Kathy into his arms. But sadly, their heartfelt reunion was cut short. Trash season is looming in the city, and Captain Sandy needs all hands on deck.
Max feels “angry”. But he still does as he is told. On deck, Ayesha tells that V is coming back tomorrow. Joe and Kizzy ask Ayesha for advice, but as usual, Ayesha answers candidly, letting Kizzy know she needs to apologize for being a “stupid bitch”.
In her confessional, Kizzy criticizes Joe. She doesn’t feel guilty, she thinks. But in his talkative mind, Joe raises his hands and confesses, “I’m guilty.” Looking at the two of them from the third interview, Ayesha quipped, “It’s really rubbish of both of them, and they deserve to feel rubbish.”
During another family-style dinner service, Captain Sandy noticed guests moving their plates around. She sighs.
Nathan also sighs. Gayle will leave tomorrow. And he still has to win back her trust.
In the morning, Max prepares hot tea for his “honey”. Kathy cries. Max is helping him “move on”.
V returned to the boat
Guests leave a meager tip of $16,000. Unrelated, Captain Sandy announced that, for the two remaining charters, zero family-style meals were to be served. Sorry, Josh.
Vee returned, feeling great and was “excited” to hear about what she had missed. Feeling that Vee deserves this elevation, Ayesha pulls Joe aside and tells him not to tell Vee anything until after her birthday dinner that night.
On deck, they later sing Happy Birthday to V. But, as they eat, Vee realizes that Joe is barely able to make eye contact with her.
On the way, Nathan leans in for a kiss with Gail, but Gail avoids his attempts. Nathan excuses himself, and Gail follows him. Here, Nathan cries. He wants Gail to stay with him until her charter season ends, so they can give their romance another chance.
Nathan and Gail reunite for Vee’s birthday party. Max pulls Nathan aside in hopes of hearing an apology from his bosun. It never comes. Vee joins them outside and wonders what Joe’s deal is.
The boys avoid his question. Back on the ship, Vee gives an emotional speech as her crew throws flowers into the sea. Joe cries, silently asking himself, “What the hell am I?”
As the credits roll, Vee honors Bon’s life, including “all the parts of her” he left inside her heart. But then, we see Joe heading to a private room to cry. The music gets louder, prompting another “Continue” prompt on our screens.
