welcome back, below deck below below Fans! Last week Ellie returned to filming. In this season, she is working as Ben’s assistant chef after his former assistant, Alessia, begged for a new job in the interior department, away from his sarcastic comments. As of now, Ben is a big fan of Ellie. Meanwhile, their guests aren’t exactly fans of their vacation, as seen on BDDU Season 4 Episode 4.
What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 4 Episode 4?
Before Ellie joins them on the boat, Jenna and Ben are shivering. But now that Ellie is here, Ben is distracted, which angers Jenna. Similarly, tension is increasing among his guests also. So now, Daisy and Captain Jason are trying to make things good after several mishaps on the ship.
Distracted Ben sets a bad example for the guests
Ellie hopes to “become a stronger team” with Ben. As for Ben, he’s stressed. He is always one accident away from losing his temper. Ben will “need beauty” with Ellie, he jokes.
Alessia starts to capsize the boat. Mike is happy to have him. He’s looking forward to spending more time on the deck, allowing guests to have a “good time.” Mike tells Alessia that they are now like Batman and Robin at the Department of the Interior, which Alessia loves.
Back in the galley, Ellie’s “reporting for duty.” Her official title is “Galley Assistant”, Ben suggests. “Oh, okay. Let’s go,” Ellie says happily.
They flirt a bit, and then, Ellie appears in her confessional, admitting that “Ben slid into my DMs once. He said he was a big fan of my photos.” However, she is happy that they never had a relationship. Because now that he’s her boss, it would be weird.
Ellie makes sandwiches for the crew. As she works, she and Ben laugh. Alessia listens, thinking, “Why are they laughing? He’s really mean.”
Ellie and Ben continue talking while working. When Captain Jason tells everyone to put on their white clothes before meeting them upstairs over the radio, Ben tells Ellie, “We’ve got time.” Except they don’t. Their guests are already standing on the pier with shocked expressions, as the crew is still inside, waiting for Ben and Ellie.
Captain Jason is crazy. First impressions matter, and when they are bad, it does not bode well for the charter. So now, everyone needs to band together and spend all of Charter to make up for Ben’s wrong move.
Language barriers, unhappy guests and a scary incident at sea
Everyone on the board has their own accent, so Betul has difficulty understanding what he needs to do. However, Jenna is the worst, because she is a bumbler. Daisy seems to agree.
Like Betul, Ben is also stressed. In response to their delay, their chief guest Christian joked, “Don’t let that happen again.” He clearly has standards, so Ben has to step up his game.
Except it’s too late. Their guests are starving and are sitting down to eat. Daisy radios Gally several times, but Ben and Ellie never respond. Thankfully they are working, but they are moving slowly because they are too busy talking.
The inner team drinks heavily to distract themselves. Still, Annette, his co-primary, is not impressed. He doesn’t have a straw, and needs to look up the ingredients used to make a Bloody Mary. And finally, when the first dish arrives twenty minutes later, it’s not Annette’s “cup of tea.”
Betul’s emotions run high after some language mistakes during docking. She tells Captain Jason that she feels “stupid”, and she hates it, because she has felt that way her whole life. Captain Jason becomes emotional while talking.
As a father, his main goal is to make his daughter feel loved and seen. This langar is not in his maternal home in Betul. So, he wants to support her, “and give her a home while she’s here.” Why is this guy still single?
Guests go on snorkeling excursions, but the currents are strong. Joao pulls them back to the tender, but Liz is missing. After several tense moments, João finds her.
Thankfully, he is wearing a life jacket. Without it, Liz admits, she “would have been a little nervous.” Joao accuses Mike of not keeping a better eye on his guests.
guests don’t get time off
Alessia is not giving in to the boyfriend feelings, which makes Eddy’s “head spin a little.” But the same is true of Mike. He likes Daisy, but she is not responding, so he is now going after Ellie.
Guests head upstairs for their polo-and-pearls-themed dinner. Christian and Annette arrive first, but not only is their decoration incomplete, it is also all wrong. Daisy’s team used native horses instead of polo horses. “Let’s get rid of it before anyone sees it,” Christian orders.
Joao called a meeting with his team. Today was a scary day, and they needed to keep their heads in the game. “Give us a break,” Mike argues on security grounds in his confessional.
Dinner runs late, but thankfully the guests are still happy with it. After this Daisy also calls a meeting with her team. They proceeded very slowly with the decorations, she says, but Mike held back again, because he’s a deck/stew. Daisy doesn’t give him even an inch.
The next morning, the guests go on a picnic on the beach. Annette is feeling very hot, but she has left her swimsuit on the boat. Daisy sent Eddie to grab it, which he did, but 30 minutes later, it still hadn’t returned. There is also no food on the beach, so Daisy calls the ferry.
Eddy doesn’t remember being told to bring this swimsuit to the beach. um what? So did you grab it to see it?
Regardless, 45 minutes later, Annette is still waiting. Nothing is going right for these guests, and now, Daisy is ready to pop.
