Amanda and West confirmed their romance by posting a joint statement today. It reads, “We’ve seen increasing online speculation, so although this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity.”
“It was never our intention to intentionally hide anything. Given the complex dynamics of a relationship and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it. We have been there for each other as friends over the years through all the ups and downs.”
As if to defend their hookup, they talked about a relationship that “grew out of a real, long-standing friendship.”
It concluded, “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take the time to really understand what we were feeling. We also recognize that it had an impact beyond just us. We never wanted our actions to hurt anyone or be thought of as careless.”
