Donald Trump attended the CFP National Championship game, Miami vs. Indiana. When the President’s camera was switched off during the national anthem, the crowd welcomed the President with loud cheers. Trump was seen in the VIP section of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens with his daughter Ivanka and several of his grandchildren.

During the game, Trump stood for a beautiful rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner” by American Idol star Jamal Roberts. Amidst the cheers, the President received some applause from the crowd when he appeared on the stadium screens.

The president was joined by Kai Trump, the daughter of his eldest son Don Jr., as well as his daughter-in-law Lara Trump and former daughter-in-law and Kai’s mother Vanessa Trump. White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum also sat in a private booth.

The White House previously confirmed that Donald Trump would be attending the game in person. Accordingly, local authorities had taken stringent security measures to welcome the President. Showing his support for sports, Trump gave an official statement“Melania and I congratulate the Indiana Hoosiers and Miami Hurricanes on earning berths in the College Football Playoff National Championship,” he said.

He added, “God bless the talented players and dedicated coaches, the families who love and support them, and the loyal fans who cheer them on. May the best team win!”

The January 19 game ended with the Indiana Hoosiers winning the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. They defeated the Miami Hurricanes 27–21, concluding their undefeated season.
