A new poll shows that many Americans think Donald Trump has become more erratic. This comes after the US President recently delivered the State of the Union (SOTU) address for his second term in the House of Representatives chamber. Earlier, results of an earlier survey had shown that 68 percent of pollsters think Trump is focusing on the wrong problems instead of the real issues.
Donald Trump’s new survey focuses on his age
Recently, a new survey Reuters/Ipsos That said, more than half of pollsters believe Donald Trump’s behavior has become more erratic as he has aged.
The survey was conducted before the US President delivered his State of the Union (SOTU) address to Congress. According to Reuters, poll results show that 61 percent of survey respondents believe Trump “has become erratic with age.” Apart from this, 32 percent people do not agree with this statement.
The outlet further claimed that of all respondents who agreed with the survey, 89 percent are Democrats and 64 percent are independent. However, a portion of the respondents who agreed with the statement are also Republicans, 30 percent. Reuters conducted the survey among 4,638 adults across the country from February 18 to 23, 2026. In comparison, only 45 percent of respondents think Trump is mentally sharp.
In response to the poll, White House spokesman Davis Ingle said The Daily Beast“President Trump’s acumen, unmatched energy and historic reach stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last four years when the failed legacy media knowingly covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people.
