ChatGPT may lead to the demise of an ex-NFL star. Recently a preliminary hearing was held against Darron LeeSome surprising information revealed about the Super Bowl champion.
Detectives say the former linebacker asked the AI chatbot a question he didn’t know what to do about his girlfriend. A body camera video shown in court showed Darron interacting with law enforcement outside his home in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Police found his girlfriend dead inside the home in early February.
Darron Lee is accused of murdering his partner Gabriela Carvalho Perpetuo
Some new evidence shared in court could land Darron in trouble. When he called 9-1-1 a day earlier, Chatgpt appeared to him, allegedly saying, “Don’t know what to do right now.” He reportedly said, “The fiancee did her crazy thing again, and now she’s fucked, I woke up, and her two eyes were swollen shut (I didn’t do anything, hurt myself), she stabbed herself, cut her eye out?”
The prosecution then showed ChatGPT’s response, which read, “What can one say without making it a police hassle.” Daron is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Gabriela Carvalho Perpetuo.
The ChatGPT disclosure isn’t the only suspicious thing investigators found. They claim that there were marks of violent struggle and injuries like accidental fall inside the house. Prosecutors had earlier said in court that the victim suffered blunt force trauma and multiple other injuries.
Darron is the latest person with ties to the Kansas City Chiefs to be in trouble with the law. In February, a report surfaced that Patrick Mahomes Sr. could face harsher penalties for allegedly violating his probation by driving under the influence. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ father was up for parole in 2023 for driving under the influence (DWI). Darron was a part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning team in the 2019 season.
Gabriella’s family has filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Darron. He is currently in custody without bond.
