Grace O’Marcaigh Lawyer Speaks

Following the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Grace O’Marcaigh, who filed a civil suit against Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs, has spoken out through her lawyer. O’Marcaigh, 25, previously accused King, 26, of sexually assaulting her on a yacht in 2022, and her legal team sees Diddy’s arrest as a crucial step towards justice.

O’Marcaigh’s lawyer, Rodney S. Diggs, released a statement to Us Weekly on September 18, addressing Diddy’s federal arrest: “The long-awaited federal arrest of Sean Combs is the first step for our clients receiving justice. We leave this case’s criminal aspect in the justice system’s hands.”

Diddy’s Arrest and Legal Troubles

Diddy was arrested in New York on September 16, 2024, following a 14-page indictment alleging serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The following day, a judge denied him bail, meaning he will remain in custody pending trial.

O’Marcaigh’s lawsuit, filed in April, alleged that while working on a yacht in 2022, she experienced a “hedonistic environment,” and King Combs sexually assaulted her. The lawsuit also accuses King of sexual harassment and emotional distress. Diddy was named in the suit for premises liability, having chartered the yacht.

Diddy’s legal team strongly denied the allegations, with his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, insisting the music mogul is innocent. He also suggested that the allegations and lawsuits may be attempts to gain media attention and pressurize settlements.

Meanwhile, Aaron Dyer, the lawyer for both Diddy and King, urged scepticism toward the claims. He pointed out the accuser’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, accusing him of filing lawsuits to embarrass high-profile defendants and settle quickly. Dyer referred to previous court rulings that criticized Blackburn’s legal tactics.

King Combs also responded with a short social media post denying the allegations.
