Recently, Francois responded to Miley Cyrus’ offer to provide season two with a song performed by the star. Now, he has revealed a kind DM he recently received.
The heated rivalry has caught up with the busy Phillies
in an interview with PeopleFrancois admitted that he’s “trying not to look at my DMs” during this intense period of new attention. However, there was one that caught his attention.
“There’s a wide range of reactions to it,” Arnaud said of reactions to the LGBT romance series. “Some people, like Busy Phillips, reacted to it in a very genuine and warm way.”
Busy has been a leading Hollywood actor for more than a quarter of a century. “She’s someone I used to look up to when I was a kid, like she was a kid freaks and Geeks,” Francois said about the iconic teen show from 1999. The actress and comedian is also known for hits like White Chicks, Dawson’s Creek and her late-night talk show, Busy Tonight.
On December 30, Busy posted a video of herself crying after watching the final episode of Heated Rivalry on Instagram. “I love you heated rivalry,” she wrote in the caption. “Thanks for bringing it home with so much effort.”
Reflecting on these emotional reactions, François remains humble. “You don’t really expect things to get to such a deep level and people to react to it,” he tells People. “I’m really happy with how much changing the conversation from how dirty, to sexy and hot can make a difference in people’s lives.”
