Nicole Curtis’ volunteering at a school may soon end
According to an exclusive report of tmzParents have spoken with school leadership regarding Nicole’s volunteer room parent role. The outlet claims parents are “extremely uncomfortable with her acting in the classroom.” Additionally, parents want the school to address the issue while it continues to attract press attention.
One parent emphasized that “the school has a variety of children of all colors” and that they were “shocked the leadership has kept quiet about what happened.” Nicole has continued her volunteer role following the leaked video last week. “It would be wise for him to read the room,” one parent told the tabloid. He suggested “taking some time off to calm down emotions.”
Nicole has apologized after the video was released. She provided an official statement to TMZ following her dismissal. “I want to be clear. The word being referred to is incorrect and is not and has never been a part of my vocabulary and I apologize to everyone involved,” she said in a statement.
“I’m grateful for the 15-year journey we’ve shared. It’s been a meaningful chapter, but I’m not focused on my career,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “My focus, right now, is on my relationships and my community — the people who really know my character and where my heart is.”
Rehab Addict first aired in 2010 and was scheduled to return this month. The release of the video came on the same day as the new season was to premiere on HGTV.
