Jason Bateman talks about awkward conversation with daughter

jason bateman She detailed an awkward conversation with her 14-year-old daughter, Maple, about the concept of sex. After a few minutes of miscellaneous conversation and jokes, the conversation turned to sex education. Bateman shared, “I talked to Maples about sex, I asked her if she had any questions or if she was all up-to-date,” host Kimmel laughed.

Bateman continued, “I think he felt it was an uncomfortable area for me. So I think he acted silly, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m not positive on a lot of things.’ He kind of provoked me, so I walked him up the stairs, you know, and waited for him to cut me off. Uh, for the most part he didn’t, and I found myself rooting for that part,” as the audience burst into laughter.

The Ozark star continued to explain, “You know when the release happens, right, which is an essential component. You don’t want to call your daughter the e********e word, right? It’s not a great word. There’s a lot of details that I didn’t want to get into.”

He continued, “So I said, ‘When the male member is inside the female member, it’s very cute.’ “I started yelling ‘p***s,’ to avoid that word,” causing Kimmel and the audience to laugh.

Furthermore, the Zootopia alum expressed, “It’s the equivalent of the p**** just yelling ‘I love you’, and it sparks love in the woman, and then you get a baby.” Kimmel immediately said, “You should write a children’s book.”

Bateman will star alongside David Harbour, Linda Cardellini, Joey Sunday and Richard Jenkins in the grounded dark-comedy television miniseries DTF St. Louis. The miniseries will premiere on March 1 on HBO and consists of seven episodes.
