During a press conference, Vance said jokingly“Well, I don’t think it seems as if the President of the United States is having a competition on television as to who will succeed him as his intern.”

He said that not everyone would expect that the President would hold such an event to decide the successor. The comment refers to the reality show presented by Trump, in which people from various backgrounds showcase their entrepreneurial and sales skills, hoping to receive a contract to promote presidential properties and a cash prize.

The comments come after the president conducted a spontaneous audience poll on Monday asking who he thought would be president between Vance and Rubio. He also asked whether apart from these two candidates, he had anyone else in mind. One by one, he checked the crowd’s reaction to these two names. Interestingly, Trump observed that in Vance’s case, the reaction was “huge”, however, for Rubio, it was “pretty good”.

Vance also during the press conference reacted On speculation about his 2028 presidential run, he said there are some topics he doesn’t want to talk about much, such as what his political future will be like. He said that at present he is more “focused” on fulfilling the responsibilities for which he has been selected rather than thinking about the future.
