New body cam footage has been released in connection with Justin Timberlake’s June 2024 DWI arrest – and this one is just as serious as the others.
The pop prince previously sued the village of Sag Harbor to block the release of the footage, but a settlement resulted in its release on Friday. Justin was arrested for drunk driving almost two years ago after police spotted him running a red light and driving on the wrong side of the road. In new footage following his arrest, the star made an uncomfortable joke about describing himself as white.

In the video, Justin looks at the paperwork related to his personal information at the police station. When he saw his stated race, he turned to the officer and jokingly asked, “White?”
After a few moments of awkward silence, the police officer laughed. Then Justin also joined in. “I’m just kidding! I’m just kidding, man,” he said.
In other recently released footage, the “Mirrors” singer can be seen struggling to perform the heel-to-toe straight line test to prove his sobriety. “These are like ordeals,” Justin can be heard saying. “My heart is beating fast.”
Additionally, this is not the first time Justin has been accused of shameful behavior regarding race. In Britney Spears’ In his 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, he said that his ex-wife was very comfortable using African-American Vernacular English (AAVE).
“His band NSYNC was what people called ‘so much of a pimp’ at the time,” Britney wrote. “They were white guys, but they loved hip-hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who very consciously positioned themselves as a white group. NSYNC hung out with black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in.”
