Kenya Moore thought she had found the love of her life when she met Marc Daly. The beauty queen first met Marc while eating at his restaurant after being invited in by the chef. However, their long-distance relationship took quite a toll on the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, and viewers knew the couple struggled. Their issues played out in the series, and fans weren’t surprised when their marriage came to an end. News broke recently that Marc has found himself entangled in a court case as he is being sued. What was Marc Daly sued for?
Followers of the Real Housewives of Atlanta haven’t heard much from Marc in recent years. But he has popped back up in the news cycle, thanks to a messy lawsuit. The restaurant owner has found himself being sued and evicted for unpaid rent. According to legal documents, Marc is struggling with his finances and faces a mounting six-figure debt. Via In Touch, Marc is being sued by the landlord of his Brooklyn apartment building. The landlord has claimed that the father of one signed a lease extension in February 2024. Marc’s lease was then scheduled to end in June 2025. According to the outlet, apartments in the building run from $3,424 to $6,485.
Per the court documents, Marc was paying $4,920.82 per month. The landlord has alleged that Kenya’s ex failed to pay rent for August and September. The landlord also claimed that Marc owed a total of $9,341 at the time the lawsuit was filed. On February 19, 2025, a judgment of possession was entered. Marc is also fighting another eviction lawsuit at another property, which was brought on by a different landlord. Marc has yet to comment on the newest lawsuit.
When did RHOA’s Kenya Moore and Marc Daly divorce?
Only a year after welcoming their daughter, Brooklyn, the couple decided to separate in 2019. Both released their own statements via People. Kenya shared, “It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.” Fans always watched as Marc was caught on a hot mic moment during RHOA, disparaging his wife.
In his statement, Marc noted, “I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo, or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”
Will fans see Kenya Moore on RHOA Season 16?
Kenya was a full-time cast member on the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 until an incident with Brit Eady got her fired. The beauty queen’s revenge porn scandal didn’t bode well for her and the scene as far as fans know has been left on the cutting room floor. Even though viewers have seen her in a few of the episodes, Kenya is now in a supporting role. Andy Cohen shared that Kenya fans can expect to see her in the first six episodes.
When the scandal broke, Kenya took to her Instagram account to share her thoughts with followers. She wrote, “My heart is full, and my conscience is clear.” Kenya added, “My life is blessed. My daughter and I will continue to thrive in a non-toxic environment where we feel appreciated and, most importantly, protected. Thank you, God, for covering us.” Kenya signed off by writing, “You can try to destroy a legacy, but you will never destroy a Queen.”
