These comments are a stark contrast to the comments we read when other celebrities go makeup-free. Take Pamela Anderson, for example. She often goes to fashion shows and film premieres without clothes and is always celebrated for it.
Other celebrities who are doing exactly the same and getting nothing but praise include Alicia Keys, Kate Winslet, Ashley Graham and many more. Why, then, was Meghan not granted the same grace?
A source close to her told OK Magazine about the backlash, “If being makeup-free is now something she’s criticized for, it shows how impossible the standards are.” “At this point, Meghan is not doing anything right. Everything she does is viewed with a hostile lens.”
