Monica Barbaro Wore a plunging Altuzarra top with a high-slit skirt during the press run for her new film, “Artificial.” On October 11, pictures and videos of her look in the daring outfit went viral online. The dress mixed soft, romantic textures with modern tailoring, creating a beautiful contrast.
Monica Barbero’s Altuzarra look combines a high-slit black skirt with a plunging top
For the “artificial” press run, Monica Barbero chose a look from Altuzarra’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection. She wore a light, cream-colored pleated sleeveless top with a deep, plunging V-neckline. Ribbon tie accents decorated the center front and shoulders. The upper chest and shoulders feature floral beaded sequin embellishments in light silver, gold and champagne tones, giving the dress a touch of sparkle.
The bottom half of the top transitioned into a wide, chartreuse-olive green pleated band that wrapped around the high waist. The light green part bridged the gap between the light top half and the dark midi skirt below.
The skirt was closely fitted around the hips and extended below the knees. It features a front center slit lined with a striking, contrasting cream-white underlayer that’s adorned with deep floral embroidery. As she walked, the crack opened up and revealed her shapely legs.
Styled by Elizabeth Saltzman, Barbero completed her look with white pointed-toe pumps. The shoes elongated the line of her legs while echoing the bright colors of her top. Her beauty style was fresh and radiant. She had her dark brown hair parted on the side and swept back behind one ear, falling in loose, polished waves down her back and shoulders.
Her makeup included a warm, glowy complexion with soft peach blush on the cheeks, bronze eyeshadow and natural nude pink lip color. She kept the jewelery to a minimum with small, sparkling hoop earrings that added just enough sparkle to her look without overpowering her outfit.
